  • This course introduces the practical and creative ways of learning the fundamentals of drawing and painting. It aims to provide a sound foundation of creative technics form which a student can develop their style and potential. We will explore different drawing mediums and acrylic painting. Experiment with composition, tone and colour, as well as observation, scale and materials, these will include pencil, pen, pastel and charcoal and paint.

    Each lesson is divided into two workshops. The first will be a group task to address practical skills and understanding of how to see and draw. The second uses what has been learnt, whether it is drawing a still life or working on an individual project.

    MATERIALS

    Some materials will be provided for the classes.

    Please bring your own drawing and coloured pencils. It would be also great to have a sketchbook too. Advice on equipment needed will be given at the start of the course.
